How Neo-Trac Works

How Neo-Trac car trackers work

Neo-Trac uses the latest Global Positioning Systems (GPS), Global Systems for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track the location of your car and detect if it has been stolen or involved in an accident. The device fitted in your car sends alerts to the Neo-Trac Secure Operating Centre who will inform the Police.

Your Neo-Trac Car Tracker Device

A discrete and compact car tracking device is securely fitted to your car by a VSIB accredited engineer. The Neo-Trac car tracker device can also be updated remotely, ensuring you always have the latest software. The Neo-Trac car security device also includes a sensitive motion, orientation and deceleration detector to provide unique Safety First accident monitoring.

Driver Validation Tags

You will receive two credit card sized Driver Validation Tags. The Driver Validation Tags are unique and use RFID technology to enable your Neo-Trac car tracker to recognise you as the authorised driver. The Driver Validation Tags will fit in a wallet, pocket or handbag and have up to four years battery life. The Driver Validation Tags should only be given to authorised drivers and should be carried by the driver each time the car is driven. Your Driver Validation Tags should never be kept with your ignition keys or left unattended in your car.

Unauthorised Car Movement Alert

Once installed, Neo-Trac acts as a sophisticated car tracker 24 hours, 7 days a week, detecting any unauthorised car or vehicle movement. If any unauthorised movement is detected, an alert will be sent to the Neo-Trac Monitoring Centre who will inform you of the event and, if appropriate, inform the Police.

Safety First accident monitoring

Using intelligent motion detection technology, Neo-Trac can identify any abnormal changes in direction, speed or orientation, which may suggest your car has been involved in an accident or collision. An alert is then sent to the Neo-Trac Monitoring Centre who can liaise with local Police to support a swift response. This could help save the life of you and your car's occupants.

Neo-Trac Secure Operating Centre

The Neo-Trac Secure Operating Centre provides 24 hour, 7 days service to all Neo-Trac customers. The Neo-Trac Monitoring Centre will monitor Neo-Trac alerts using on-screen software in real time. If they receive a theft alert, the Monitoring Centre will inform you and provide location and movement updates to the Police. If your car is involved in an accident, the Neo-Trac Monitoring Centre will also contact the Police station nearest the accident.

Signal boost

Neo-Trac can automatically boost its transmission strength when required, making it easier to track and locate in areas such as underground car parks or garages.
